Privacy Policy

What we collect

What you choose to give us on our forms: your name, email address, phone number and company; the project and facility details you enter on the Request a Bid form; your message; and any file you attach — a résumé on the Careers form, or floor plans and drawings on the Request a Bid form. If you use our chat assistant, we also see what you type into it, and — only if you choose to be contacted and check the consent box in the chat window — your name and contact details and a short summary of what you asked for.

How we use it

To answer your message, prepare a bid or estimate, or review your job application. We don’t use it for anything else, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.

How we contact you

We’ll reach you by phone or email about your message, bid request or application. We don’t send text messages.

How we store it

Every form submission, and any lead our chat assistant saves, is stored in J&M Connections’ own database and emailed to our team. We don’t sell what you submit, and we don’t use an outside form or marketing service to collect it. The one exception is our chat assistant — see “Website chat assistant” below for what it shares and with whom. How we measure visits to the website is described under Website analytics below.

Website chat assistant

The chat button on this website is powered by Anthropic, a third-party AI company — not a J&M employee. To generate a reply, the full text of your conversation is sent to Anthropic — that is a form of sharing with an outside company, even though we don’t sell your information and Anthropic doesn’t either. The assistant tells you it’s an AI at the start of every conversation.

If you ask the assistant to have someone follow up with you, it will ask for your name and a way to reach you, and show you a consent notice with a link to this policy that you must check before that information is saved. Only then is a short summary — your name, contact details, and a brief description of what you asked for — saved to our own lead database, the same one our Contact, Bid and Careers forms use. We don’t store the full back-and-forth of your chat beyond that short summary. Anthropic’s own retention of the conversation text it processes is set by Anthropic, not by us.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how people use this website: which pages are visited, how visitors found us, and the general location and type of device they browse from. Google Analytics uses cookies to gather this and reports it to us in summary form. It can tell that a form on this site was started or submitted, but it never receives the name, email, phone number, project details or message you type into it. We use these reports only to improve the website.

You can block these cookies in your browser’s settings, or turn Google Analytics off with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Google explains how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

This website does not change its behavior when it receives a browser “Do Not Track” signal.

How long we keep it

We keep submissions until you ask us to delete them.

Deleting your information

To have your information removed, email info@jnmconnections.com or call (740) 967-8311, and we’ll delete it.
